• Federal Public Service Commission makes arrangement for this exam every year mostly in month of
• February or March. The selected Candidates are posted as Grade 17 officer in following groups/departments.

• Accounts Group
• Commerce and Trade Group
• Customs and Excise Group
• District Management Group
• Foreign service of Pakistan
• Information Group
• Income Tax Group
• Police Service of Pakistan
• Postal Group
• Railways Group
• Any citizen of Pakistan male or female who is graduate is eligible for this exam
• The age limit for admission in CSS Examination is 21-28 years.
• The candidates can choose 600 marks compulsory subjects and 600 marks subjects from optional subjects (For detail visit css syllabus )
• Only three attempts are for css exam allowed
• Candidates are called for written exam of 1200 marks. For passing following marks are must
• a) Compulsory Subjects – 40% in each subjectsb)
• Optional Subjects – 33% in each subjectsc)
• Aggregate Marks – 50%
• The Candidates, who qualify the written examination as per rules
• The viva Voce tests consists of 300 marks and minimum qualification marks are 100
